All sessions begin with a written consultation and a chat, so that I can gain a better understanding of you, your medical history and reason for treatment.
If you have an injury or functional limitation that you would like fully assessed, or you are seeking guidance on a specific issue, then I recommend booking an Osteopathy session. As a registered Osteopath I am able to provide advice, health screening and write onward referrals. For a particularly gentle approach I recommend Cranial Osteopathy.
If you are seeking to relieve physical tension in your body, relax, destress, or just feel in need of some dedicated hands on treatment time, then I recommend you book a Massage Therapy session.
For a restorative session focused on the feet, I recommend Reflexology. This is a great option if you prefer to stay fully clothed. Reflexology may be particularly beneficial for stress and anxiety related conditions and during pregnancy.

For Osteopathy, allow up to 60 minutes for the first session, which includes assessment and treatment. For a follow up session I usually recommend 45 minutes, but longer or shorter sessions may also be appropriate.
If you are booking a massage therapy session, 60 minutes is usually good amount of time for a focused session on one or two areas of the body. For a full body treatment I recommend 75 or 90 minutes.
I offer Reflexology as a 45 or 60 minute session. If you’d like to combine Reflexology and Massage, book 90 minutes.

During the initial consultation we will discuss your health history and presenting problem, and any specific goals or questions you may have. This will usually be followed by an active and passive movement assessment, and orthopaedic and neurological testing if appropriate. At this point we will discuss any findings and decide on a treatment plan.

If you have a specific issue that will likely need to be assessed, it’s ideal that you wear something loose and comfortable that exposes that part of the body. That may be sports shorts, loose trousers that can be rolled up, a crop top, vest top, or sports bra (ideally not with a racer back).
It is not essential for you to dress down to your underwear for an assessment, but it does help if I can see as much of the body as possible. Most importantly you should feel comfortable in whatever you are wearing.
If booking a Massage therapy session you will be given a few minutes to dress down to your underwear and position yourself under a sheet or towel.

This really depends on your reason for treatment, whether you have a specific injury or concern, and your overall goals. Sometimes things resolve in 1 to 3 sessions, however some more complex issues may take longer. If you are seeking support during a specific life stage such as event training, pregnancy, or a particularly stressful period, you may find regular, ongoing treatment beneficial.

I usually suggest weekly or fortnightly sessions if we are working on something specific, or monthly sessions as maintenance.

Please get in touch in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your session. Missed or cancelled appointments will still be charged unless a minimum of 24 hours notice is given.
